ART201. Introduction to Art History (4cr)
This course develops fundamental skills for the study of the history of art. The lectures examine important cultural traditions of selected world regions, analyzing changes that have occurred in the production of art from prehistoric to contemporary times. By studying numerous representative masterpieces of several cultures, the student will master the key concepts and methods required to pursue comparative analyses of art works in more specialized courses.
